Just a reminder that seniors should report at 5:30 PM in the library to start their Financial Aide Forms if they are interested in college or a vocational school. It is important to take care of this early. Before coming in you will need:
CREATING YOUR FAFSA ACCOUNT
1. Go to StudentAid.gov. This is the only site thatʼs approved for settingupanFSA ID, and itʼs also where youʼll fill out your FAFSA.
2. Choose a username. Make this unique from other usernames you have used in the past, but it's one you will remember.
3. Select a password. Again, this should be unique to the FAFSA website, secure, and not easily guessed by others. If you need inspiration for asecurepassword, use a password tool like that in Google Chrome or your securitysoftware for suggestions. Just be sure to write it down so you donʼt forget.
4. Provide your personal information. Be sure not to use a school-affiliatedemail address when registering for your FSA ID. You may change schoolsorneed to access your information after school is finished, and havinganactiveemail address is important.
5. Answer the four challenge questions. These should be questions youcananswer easily, but that others wonʼt guess. They will help you log intoyouraccount if you forget how to get in.
6. Verify your selected communication methods, including email, text, andauthenticator app. Follow any instructions on these notifications toensureyour FSA ID is ready.
7. Get and store your backup code, which will be a series of letters andnumbers.
To create a parent account on FAFSA, follow these steps:
Choose āParentā if youāre starting the FAFSA form on behalf of your child1. 1. Visit the FSA ID website and select āCreate Accountā.
2. Fill out personal information, including name, Social Security number, and contact
details23. 3. Write down your FSA ID information in a safe place4. Follow remainder of steps only set up account and we can assist with the process after
setting up. You must have you own email and phone number from the dependent.

The Las Vegas Police Department was in pursuit of an individual. The lockdown was short, and all students and staff acted quickly to ensure our campuses were safe. Thank you. Shout out to our West Las Vegas Cross Country Team! What an incredible season of running these athletes had. Their hard work, dedication to running numerous miles every week have truly payed off. Each of these athletes have pushed each other and supported each other in a way that truly represents our Dons and Lady Dons Pride. This weekend our runners represented the Green and Gold very well at the District Meet. While non of the runners qualified for state, we want them to know how proud we are of them. Their resilience and sportsmanship is certainly inspiring.

Calling all Dons Fans to support our Lady Dons today at home as they take on the Robertson Lady Cardinals. C team at 11:00, followed by JV and then Varsity. Let's bring our school pride to the forefront and cheer on our Lady Dons to victory.

West Las Vegas Athletics will begin charging admission to students, as follows
For WLVHS Events:
High students will be admitted FREE for high school ONLY events, with Power School Schedule. All other students will pay $3
WLVMS students admitted free to middle school events ONLY with Power School Schedule; all other students will pay $3.
All elementary students will be charged $3 with Power School Schedule. Adult supervision will be required.
General admission will not change. All fans will continue to be charged $7.
We will start this on Tuesday, Oct 22, as the Lady Dons Volleyball team will host SFIS
And also remind students that NO BACKPACKS WILL BE ALLOWED.
